Responsibilities and Duties

Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for implementing necessary and required HR activities.40

1. Entering new hire information into SAP, updating and entering changes to SAP records, tracking end dates to assure SAP action occurs within payroll schedule. (E) 
2. Working with Payroll office to make adjustments and corrections as necessary. (E) 
3. Maintaining salary range information for college appointments. (E) 
4. Organizing and maintaining HR record keeping system in accordance with rules and regulations. (E) 
5. Implements and follow-through on confidential personnel and budget activity to include implementing Dean#s directives relative to promotions, evaluations, reclassification and other payroll adjustments. (E) 
6. Monitoring personnel status and meeting deadlines payroll and personnel system deadlines. (E) 
7. Processing supplemental compensation agreements for entry into ADIS. (E) 
8. Coordinates job description reviews and updates, Jobs@posting, verification of salary, new hire procedures and processes. Assists hiring managers in the recruitment processes, including writing position descriptions, salary recommendations, application reviews, and other processes as necessary. Provides hiring managers and College leadership with recommendations for appropriate salary adjustments. (E) 
9. Responds to inquiries regarding UNMC salary and benefits options, explains payroll process and assists employees in resolving payroll and benefits issues. (E) 
10. Create and maintain employment contract agreements. (E) 
11. Proactively liaises with departments, centers, and other units as necessary to forecast and plan for needed personnel changes. (E)

Coordinate hiring of potential faculty, staff, and students 
Duties: Coordinates the hiring of potential department faculty and staff including but not limited to: 
1. Complete job requisitions and descriptions, prepare and process appointment letters and other necessary documents, assure accurate completion of new hire paperwork (ie. New Hire Form, Direct Deposit Form, I-9, Veteran#s Status, Disability Status, Student Unemployment Status, W-4s, etc), required campus training (ie. Canvas, pCard, eShop, etc.), and orientation into campus and department. (E) 
2. Responsible for accurate inclusion of new employees into the University#s database (SAP and ADIS) and achieving compliance with all University and campus regulations. (E) 
3. Monitoring of appointment expiration dates and preparing extension letters and PAFs. Prepare reports as requested. (E) 
4. Coordinate College rewards and recognition, solicit and obtain nominees for reward programs, publicize awardees and those with service anniversaries. (E) 
5. Coordinates onboarding, utilizing UNMC#s onboarding checklists for faculty and staff. (E)

International Faculty, Staff, Students and Visitors10

1. Monitoring of employee visa expiration dates and processing of visa renewals for faculty and staff. (E) 
2. Monitoring of student employee work permits and expiration dates. (E) 
3. Monitoring International visitor protocol to make certain all requirements are met. (E) 
4. Collaborates with the Office of Global Engagement to facilitate employment eligibility of international workers. (E) 

Accreditation Records and Reports7

1. Prepare reports and maintain record information to include in the CEPH (Council on Education for Public Health) and CAHME (Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education) accreditation for the college. (E)

1. Review and complete access requests to provide essential security and safety measures are being followed for the college. (E)
