Responsibilities and Duties

Study Patient Recruitment40
  1. Identify patients to be involved in clinical studies by reviewing case findings and computerized records and by participating in health events (E);
  2. Obtain permission to contact identified patients and families (E);
  3. Screen potential participants via phone (E);
  4. Maintain patient and family lists (E).
  5. Prescreen subjects, explain the study protocol, ensure subject understanding, and obtain patient signatures.
  6. Coordinate recruitment with subject assessment and procedures at study visits per protocol requirements. Coordinate follow-up appointments, referrals, and care.
  7. Ensure subject safety and privacy.
Manage clinical study25
  1. Independently, facilitate patient visits, schedule tests, draw blood, obtain vital signs (E);
  2. Perform EKG or specialized testing (D);
  3. Process blood/serum labs, including shipping (E)
  4. Determine subject population using protocols inclusion/exclusion criteria; Determine personnel, facility and equipment needed for studies.
  5. Schedule sponsor site visits and monitor visits.
  6. Prepare and submit regulatory documents.
  7. Assist in the preparation and attend internal, sponsor, FDA, OSHA, OHRP or JCAHO audits/visits.
Data entry and verification25
  1. Complete intramural and extramural data collection forms (E)
  2. Enter data into database as required by the study and PI (E)
  3. Update and maintain database and provide reports to investigators as requested (E)
  4. Maintain appropriate documentation of studies and any required regulatory documentation (E)
