Advanced Technology & Software Support45

1. Primary responsibility to install, set up, test and problem solve technology and software functioning. E
2. Provide leadership in troubleshooting classroom technologies.
3. Resolve complex technology problems. Has comprehensive understanding of computer, audio, video, data and voice technologies to provide detailed analysis and accurate problem resolution. E
4. Repair equipment as needed. E
5. Coordinate technology resolution with other UNMC departments and support staff as needed.

Technology and Software Support30

1. Provide general and just-in-time training to faculty and staff. Assist with how to install presentations on the equipment. E
2. Remotely monitor events for problem identification and respond to or dispatch other support as needed. E
3. In person monitoring and support of special events providing a variety of technical support to include microphone and audio adjustments, switching between various software and hardware components, etc. E
4. Provides day-to-day support for student computer use in the building E
5. Responds to printer alerts for first line troubleshooting. E
6. Escalates problem resolution to second tier support as needed. E
7. Carries a pager/cell phone during work hours and assigned off hours. E

Clinical Skills Center Technical Support20

1. Supports clinical skills lab room computers and users. E
2. Supports clinical simulation software use including advanced administrative support for the clinical skills servers and remote software tools. E
3. Supports general use of simulation devices and systems.

Distance Education Class Setup/Monitoring5

1. Verifies remote site connectivity and functionality of audio/video technologies. E
2. Utilizes video conferencing software to help troubleshoot video conferencing problems. E
3. Contacts technicians at remote locations for problem resolution as needed. E
