  1. Assist faculty in laboratory learning activity and online educational resource preparation.
  2. Aid in preparing reagents, unknowns, microbiological stock cultures, study slide (etc.)
  3. Coordinate and inventory lab supplies and equipment. This includes collaborating with staff and faculty to ensure required lab supplies and equipment are available for use throughout the programmatic year.
  4. Assist teaching for all laboratory learning activities

  1. In conjunction with the College of Allied Health Professions, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs office, develop and implement Clinical, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Sciences departmental, including medical laboratory science recruitment activities. 
     
    Engage in meaningful conversations with students of varying academic levels to promote the MLS program as well as Clinical, Diagnostic, and Therapeutic Sciences departmental programs. 
  2. Requires frequent travel, including overnight, within and outside of Nebraska. 
ACADEMIC COORDINATION15X
  1.  Assist with MLS curriculum delivery and grading for campus and distance students.
  2.  Assist with curricular special projects with faculty direction. 
  3.  Other duties as assigned. 

 

 

CLINICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR15X
  1. Function as site liaison for MLS students at the Nebraska Medicine clinical site.
  2. Function as the clinical education coordinator for other clinical sites as assigned.
  3. Continue to foster relationships with our clinical partners to ensure student clinical experiences are meeting educational needs.
  4. Monitor assigned MLS student academic progress and coordinate remediation processes. 
  5. Advise current and incoming MLS students.
