Responsibilities and Duties

Data Collection and Management60X
  1. Works with primary records (patient charts, lab reports, etc.) to collect clinical information of patients as required by sponsoring agency. (E)
  2. Reviews and enters various clinical data points into appropriate forms and/or databases. (E)
  3. Follows up with appropriate individuals regarding missing or ambiguous data and obtains follow up information. (E)
  4. Collaborates with research staff to assist with collection and interpretation of research data. Contributes to timely and accurate data collection and documentation. Troubleshoots if there are problems to solve but seeks assistance and input when appropriate. Keeps coordinator and manager informed. (E)
  5. Prepares for and facilities sponsor monitoring/auditing visits by the FDA, sponsoring agency, investigators, or other agency for review of completed case report forms and medical records. (E)
  6. Complete data queries as requested by sponsoring agency or investigator. Clarifies issues with vendors and customers under the direction of the manager.
  7. Maintains current enrollment logs and maintains document files. Keeps accurate subject lists.  Maintain accurate and timely patient records. (E)
Study Data and Specimen Collection20X
  1.  Performs research procedures associated with clinical research while following the protocol.  Maintains a safe and orderly environment for research participants. (E)
  2. Provides direct support for the preparation, conduct and follow up tasks associated with research study visits, performs phlebotomy, CLIA waived lab testing, vital signs and ECG. (E)
  3. Interacts with participants in a friendly and inviting way while meeting their age- specific needs. Travels to internal and external settings to assist with research activities. (E)
  4. Educates the participants about the study and aid with study compliance (e-diary entries, appointment reminders, etc). (E)
  5. Complies with safety policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and to participate in corporate wide and department safety activities. (E)

  2. Facilitate special projects as requested by the investigator or management team. (E)
