- Organize and maintain the COD Quality Assurance Program under the guidance of the Executive Associate Dean and Clinical Dean to include but not limited to: maintenance and retention of the QA data bases, development and upgrading of QA instruments, coordination of patient QA examinations, patient chart audits, updating COD Standards of Care, updating and distribution of various faculty, staff, and student evaluations using Evaluation Kit, review and collect data as needed for QA reporting, review and draft QA reports.

- Investigate and manage privacy breaches/violations under the guidance of the Executive Associate Dean. Serve as the compliance coordinator for the College of Dentistry and provide monthly notifications for compliance requirements for all faculty, staff, and students. Monitor overdue training and recommend further actions for compliance. Represent the COD on the UNMC Compliance Committee.(E)
- Provide initial assessment/management and direction for COD personnel, students and patients for blood borne pathogen exposures and incident reporting. Enter pertinent information in the database, scan and storage of pertinent documents, distribution of documents to appropriate agencies or providers, and process payments under the guidance of the Executive Associate Dean and Clinical Dean.(E)
- Monitor compliance with EHR responsibilities and notify faculty and students of outstanding tasks.(E)
- Monitor compliance of clinic waterline and sterilization testing and reporting. Maintain records for reporting for QA and Asepsis Committees.(E)
- Coordinate the annual COD flu vaccination program with the College of Nursing.(E)
- Coordinate BLS training for clinical faculty, staff, and students with UNMC Continuing Education. Maintain certification expiration and monitor for non-compliance.(E)

- Assist in managing the daily schedule of the Executive Associate Dean and Clinical Dean, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and related documentation for internal and external meetings.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-up. Draft, proofread, and format documents, presentations, and reports as required.
- Support the Executive Associate Dean and Clinic Dean in overseeing clinical operations by maintaining regular communication with departments, faculty, and students, and facilitating the implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
