  1. Serve as the Student Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) Coordinator for the research department, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and tracking of student participants. (E)
  2. Provide high-level administrative support to the Research Administrator and assigned Principal Investigators (PIs) within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. (E)
  3. Manage and coordinate calendars for PIs and departmental leadership, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel or events, and resolving scheduling conflicts. (E)
  4. Attend faculty, committee, and NCWHR meetings; prepare agendas, record accurate minutes, and distribute follow-up documentation. (E)
  5. Support the Research Administrator with special projects, data collection, and organizational initiatives as assigned. (E)
  6. Assist the Research Administrator with entering new personnel into SAP and ADIS. (E)
  7. Complete post-hire requirements and onboarding processes for each new hire, including payroll and immigration documentation. (E)
  8. Arrange travel for Principal Investigators (PIs) attending educational conferences or research-related meetings, including airfare, lodging, registration, and related logistics, ensuring compliance with UNMC travel policies. (E)

  10. Provide administrative assistance to Clinical Research Project Coordinators (CRPCs) as needed, such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, or organizing files. (E)

  4. Maintain awareness of departmental clinical and research projects to support effective coordination and communication among investigators, the Research Administrator, and Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA). (E)
  5. Track deadlines for proposal submissions, progress reports, and other sponsor correspondence as directed. (E)

Describe the budgetary accountabilities for this position:

This position does not have independent budgetary authority but plays a key supporting role in maintaining awareness and coordination of financial activities within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s research enterprise. The incumbent assists the Research Administrator and Principal Investigators by monitoring purchasing activity, tracking supply orders, and ensuring that expenditures align with project scope and sponsor guidelines. The position also helps compile budget documentation for grant proposals and communicates with the Research Administrator regarding spending plans, budget changes, and project updates. All fiscal management, reconciliation, and approval responsibilities remain under the direct oversight of the Research Administrator.
