The Administrative Research Associate will provide high-level administrative and research support for both clinical and basic science initiatives within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Nebraska Center for Women’s Health Research (NCWHR). This role requires exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, and comfortable navigating the complex world of academic research administration, communications, and events. |

Describe the budgetary accountabilities for this position:
This position does not have independent budgetary authority but plays a key supporting role in maintaining awareness and coordination of financial activities within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s research enterprise. The incumbent assists the Research Administrator and Principal Investigators by monitoring purchasing activity, tracking supply orders, and ensuring that expenditures align with project scope and sponsor guidelines. The position also helps compile budget documentation for grant proposals and communicates with the Research Administrator regarding spending plans, budget changes, and project updates. All fiscal management, reconciliation, and approval responsibilities remain under the direct oversight of the Research Administrator. |
