Responsibilities and Duties

Equipment Maintenance/Repair70

1. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines need of repair. E
2. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs or a specialty maintenance technician/vendor technician should be assigned. E
3. Plans required work using equipment manuals/building blueprints as needed. E
4. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors, and other building fixtures. E
5. Performs routine maintenance on all equipment with in Comparative Medicine which include but not limited to rack washers, tunnel washer, autoclaves, ventilated rack, bio-safety cabinets, Hydropac, cage trucks, carts and etc. E
6. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. E
7. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. E
8. Coordination of vehicle maintenance schedules/upkeep with vendor and submit monthly mileage logs E
9. Transports equipment to vendors for repair. E
10. Makes environmental enrichment devices. E
11. Performs other related duties as assigned. E

2. Researching product availability and replacement items for unavailable/discontinued items E

4. Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures. E

5. Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment E

9. Ensuring inventory program is up to date. E
