Responsibilities and Duties

1. Maintains animal colony and performs animal husbandry
2. Conducts PCR tests for animal genotyping

Perform Experiments25

1. Will include biochemistry, molecular biology, mouse genotyping and rodent models of epilepsy.
2. Participate in routine maintenance of the lab, animal surgical room and animal EEG monitory room.
3. Performs experiments with focus on murine behavioral assays in support of research project and evaluates results.

 

 

Data Collection25

1. Assist with execution and analysis of experiments.
2. Use of molecular and cellular methods.
3. Use of transgenic mouse genotyping.

Other Responsibilities25

1. Assist with general operations and maintenance.
2. Provide support for the other staff in the lab.
3. Documents and maintains data, may assist with development, modification, and validation of methods/procedures.
4. Orders equipment/supplies/reagents and maintains database of order history.
5. May summarize data to develop visual materials for reporting or presenting data in manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.
