Responsibilities and Duties

1. Work with the primary investigator in developing research protocols and IRB correspondence. (E) 
2. Interact with other research/clinical coordinators in the institution to meet protocol needs. (E) 
3. Correspond with sponsors to develop contractual needs and negotiate study budget (E)

Case Management25X

1. Coordinates patient participation in investigational protocols; enrolls patient, processes consent form, educates patient regarding study, plans patient’s evaluation, coordinates patient’s care plan, serves as patient’s primary contact, provide care under PI’s direction, evaluate and report trial progress to PI. (E) 
2. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in addressing age-specific needs of patients served. (E) 
3. Process Patient Reimbursement for study participation. (E)

Data Collection25X

1. Provides data collection by completing accurate case reports in a timely manner. (E) 
2. Enters data into datebase(s) and uses databases to generate reports to PI. (E) 
3. Maintain confidential patient files on each participant. (E) 
4. Maintain study financial spreadsheet and reconcile patient hospital billing. (E)

Coordinate sponsor visits20X

1. Coordinates sponsor visits from funding agencies. (E) 
2. Prepare and obtain case material for site visit. (E) 
3. Interacts with UNMC pharmacy to maintain levels and records of investigational drugs. (E) 
4. Coordinates the collection and testing of laboratory samples. (E) 
5. Support invoice requirements needed of the Division.
