  1. Post payments to patient accounts received via mail or ACH payment in accordance with established procedures.
  • This includes; data entry, process journal entries for payments from other University departments, responds to inquiries (both phone and in-person)regarding account balances. Initiate and authorize payment of refunds on accounts following established guidelines. (E)
Account Analysis30
  1. Monitoring and reconciliation of patient accounts.
  2. Coordinates the correction and reconciling of patient accounts, along with processing of secondary insurance claims. 
  3. Generates, updates and compiles data for routine and special reports/projects as needed.

Answering and/or directing incoming telephone inquiries10
  1. Schedule/rescheduling/canceling/failing of patient appointments.

This position contributes to the overall financial operations of the clinic by scheduling the clinic at the appropriate level, maximizing available provider resources and clinic revenue. This position is the first entry point for revenue streams into the clinic operation. Failure to adequately perform at this position would compromise clinic revenue and ability to meet established budget.
