  1. Collaborate with the Directors of Clinical Education and CAHP students, assist in scheduling and tracking over 700 clinical assignments across 15 months for each class. (E)
  2. Ensure that all required documentation is complete before the start of each rotation, including site-specific background checks, immunizations, orientation, etc. (E)
  3. Process significant communication under the direction of the Director of Clinical Education, including updating students’ schedules plus continual correspondence to the preceptors, typically 250-300 preceptors engaged at some point across the year, each having questions, needing reminders, or follow-up with information on specific student or rotation needs. (E)
  4. Maintain databases of clinical rotations within utilized software, including Canvas, CORE, and Typhon, for student reporting of patient demographics, diagnoses made, procedures performed, and drugs prescribed. These updates require weekly data entry, critical review of current data, identification of missing or illogical data sets, correction, and streamlining of data content.
  5. Obtain contact information for adjunct faculty appointments and provide it to the CAHP administration associate.  (E)
AFFILIATION AGREEMENT PROCESSING FOR ASSIGNED PROGRAMS30
  1. Maintain a database of all active clinical affiliation agreements, documenting processing status, programs covered, expiration dates, etc.
  2. At the request of CAHP faculty, or six months before the expiration of existing agreements, initiate negotiation of new or renewal clinical affiliation agreements in compliance with all University, UNMC, CAHP, and accrediting body policies and procedures. Review non-standard agreements for accreditation and legal requirements, recommend edits to the Associate Dean for Business and Finance, and negotiate revised terms with clinical sites. (E)
  3. Collaborate with other departments, including other CAHP Clinical Education Associates, to suggest process improvements and/or efficiencies to ensure a strong and successful clinical education experience for CAHP stakeholders.  (E)

  1. Act as a proctor for exams as needed. 
  2. Provide backup support to other CAHP staff as needed. (E)
  3. Provide support to CAHP events, which will include occasional evening or weekend hours.
