  • Coordinate daily operations, schedules, and logistics for the Momentum initiative. 
  • Support the implementation of the project communication plan, including website updates, newsletters, and event promotion. 
  • Assist with coordination of meetings for the Momentum Council and related task forces, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-up actions. 
Event & Program Support30X
  • Coordinate logistics for student engagement opportunities, such as Transfer Student Orientation, career fairs, and co-branded MCC/UNO events.
  • Support pilots and initiatives, such as extracurricular fee reimbursement and co-advising programs.
  • Assist in marketing and recruitment strategies to increase transfer student participation and visibility.
Administrative & Fiscal Support15X
  • Assist the Executive Director with budget tracking, purchasing, and grant documentation in collaboration with MCC and UNO Grants and Accounting divisions.
  • Maintain organized records of project activities, contracts, and agreements.
  • Support external evaluation activities by providing required data and documentation.

Describe the budgetary accountabilities for this position:

The Transfer Operations Coordinator will assist the Executive Director in monitoring and supporting grant-related fiscal operations. While not a decision-making role, the Coordinator will play a key part in:

  • Budget Support: Assisting with tracking grant expenditures, preparing financial documentation, and ensuring costs align with approved budgets.

  • Asset Stewardship: Helping to safeguard the value of the multi-year grant investment by maintaining accurate records and supporting reporting requirements.

  • Risk Reduction: Supporting compliance activities that reduce institutional exposure to financial, legal, and reputational risk.

  • Operational Accountability: Coordinating documentation related to contracts, vendor services, and student support programming to ensure proper oversight.

Through these responsibilities, the Coordinator strengthens fiscal transparency, protects institutional assets, and ensures smooth execution of the grant’s objectives, under the guidance of the Executive Director.

By ensuring accurate budget tracking, compliance with grant requirements, and consistent coordination between MCC and UNO, the Coordinator’s work reduces administrative errors, prevents potential audit findings, and safeguards institutional resources.

The position’s contributions improve operational efficiency, strengthen accountability, and enhance the student transfer experience. On a departmental level, this support allows the Executive Director and project leadership to focus on strategic decision-making, while at the campus level, it reduces institutional risk, fosters cross-campus collaboration, and bolsters the reputation of both MCC and UNO as leaders in supporting transfer student success.
