  • Review and process incoming awards, ensuring all necessary pieces are present. (E)
  • Coordinate with departments, faculty, and Grants Coordinators to obtain missing items.(E)

  • Highlight compliance issues in the award and regulations for use by Post Award Grants Accounting team. (E)
  • Obtain subawardee information to complete agreements. (E)
  • Validate award information in the institution#s electronics research administration system and update the Validation as necessary. (E)
  • Assemble, send out, and process subaward agreements Assemble, send out, and process subaward agreements using FDP templates or other documents when FDP templates are not appropriate with outside subrecipients. (E)
  • Identify documentation needed to complete subawards and ensure execution. (E)
  • In coordination with senior staff and the Office of Sponsored Program#s (OSP) Director, negotiate potential issues with terms and conditions with subawardees. (E)

Contracts/Agreements5X

  • Assist in drafting and negotiating standard contracts/agreements and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies, and under the guidance of senior team members. (E)
  • Assist in the review and negotiation of other specialized contractual documents such as non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, allocation of rights agreements, data sharing agreements, material transfer agreements, license agreements, and memorandums of understanding, with support and guidance from the Senior Contracts & Awards Administrator as needed.   • Assist in interpreting contractual language and assessing issues such as intellectual property rights, confidentiality, liability, indemnification, publishing rights, insurance, and jurisdiction, seeking guidance from the Senior Contracts & Awards Administrator when necessary. (E)
  • Conduct research and analysis of statutory and policy language, as well as federal regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Uniform Guidance, and Federal Code Regulations (FCR), with support and guidance from the Contracts & Awards Administrator II and the Senior Contracts & Awards Administrator as needed to ensure the application of appropriate terms for educational institutions.   • Determine appropriate flow-down provisions for inclusion in federal subcontracts/subawards (incoming and outgoing) with guidance from the Senior Contracts & Awards Administrator. (E)
  • Develop negotiating strategies and systems for efficient and effective negotiation and tracking of contracts/agreements in collaboration with the Senior Contracts & Awards Administrator. (E)
