  • Directly supervise, schedule, and evaluate event services staff, including ushers, ticket takers, and crowd control personnel.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, and training of event services staff in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Exercise discretion in assigning responsibilities, approving timesheets, evaluating performance, and recommending disciplinary action or termination when appropriate.
  • Serve as a key leader within the department, providing input on staffing structures, operational policies, and resource allocation.

  • Lead all aspects of event coordination from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with contracts, safety protocols, and university policies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and external clients, including athletic programs, promoters, and campus departments.
  • Utilize independent judgment to assess and resolve operational challenges, client requests, and risk management concerns in real time.
  • Negotiate and approve event layouts, staffing levels, and setup requirements within established budgets and safety standards.

  • Assist in the development of labor budgets, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in strategic discussions related to scheduling, capital planning, and event growth opportunities.
