Requires understanding of educational technologies, learning management systems, and emerging tools such as AI. Strong skills in communication, collaboration, organization, and technology training are essential. Under the direction of and in partnership with the NU ITS Security team, implement and maintain security strategies, policies, and standards to protect University assets. Responsible for actively researching and reviewing security practices to make recommendations based on institutional risk and operational impact. |
Handles operational challenges & resolves day-to-day issues independently, escalating complex or strategic matters to the Director or AVP as appropriate. Exercises sound judgment in coordinating logistics & supporting end users. |
This position plays a critical role in operationalizing pilots, managing logistics, providing faculty and staff support, and ensuring successful adoption of innovative tools and platforms such as artificial intelligence (AI) and other evolving technologies failure to do so accurately may be detrimental to the University. |
Regularly interacts with faculty, staff and vendors. Must communicate complex technology topics clearly and diplomatically, ensuring strong relationships and positive experiences. |
