Responsibilities and Duties

Identify, evaluate and implement technology solutions that result in more efficient and modernized processes and forms. Provide ongoing updates of these systems as needed.

Develop and provide employee training and professional development programs30X

Develop and provide employee training and professional development programs on a variety of topics (e.g., new employee orientation, skills development, soft-skill, team development). Deploy strategic leadership and decision-making to ensure training and professional development programs improve workplace performance/retention and align with the university’s core values. Leverages instructional design expertise including knowledge of audience, various instructional methods, technology platforms, and engagement techniques. Develops and delivers presentations to campus groups regarding HR programming, core HR functions, policies, and services to support employee understanding and engagement.

Website updates and Employee Communications10X

Manage and perform website design and updates for HR and select partner offices within University Communications guidelines. Work with HR employees to provide content and promotions to communicate with employees including faculty, staff and students. 

Manage learning management system/training portal10X

Manage learning management system/training portal for Human Resources and other Business & Finance division departments. Serve as the UNK LMS resource in providing training, troubleshooting and other guidance on usability of the system.

HR Operational Support10

Performs other duties as assigned and participates in cross-training opportunities to build functional knowledge across Human Resources.

Greet, direct and provide information to visitors, students, faculty and staff. Answer telephone calls, respond to routine and general inquiries or direct calls appropriately. Answer, compose, and prepare non-routine forms and correspondence. Organize and maintain specialized filing systems, act as liaison between departments, divisions, and various agencies.

Prioritize tasks and keep all parties within the department and stakeholders informed. Maintain high level of confidentiality and possess a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and municipal regulations as they relate to human resources. Assist to maintain departmental webpages. All other duties as assigned.
