This position is responsible for the overall administration and distribution of $50 million in financial assistance to 5,000 to 6,000 students on an annual basis. Possess a thorough knowledge of financial aid regulations and the ability to interpret and implement new policies when applicable. Experience with federal, state and internal financial aid compliance audits, budget management, and ability to ensure associated reports are generated in an accurate and timely manner. |
There are many areas where problem solving and decision-making situations occur. Examples include developing an analytics-based packaging approach for student aid awards that maximize access for all eligible students while simultaneously producing revenue that meets institution budgetary requirements. |
Failure of the Office of Financial Aid to carry out this function in an equitable, efficient and timely manner could have major financial ramifications for a majority of the University's student body and create a substantial negative impact on the recruitment and retention goals of the university. |
