May include developing policies, scheduling, and delivering training materials, newsletter, etc., accident investigation to determine cause and recommend steps to prevent them from happening in the future. Recordkeeping of all safety documentation. | |

Basic computer skills, including database applications. Valid Nebraska Driver's License. |
Employee must apply knowledge of regulations/license conditions to assess compliance status of areas audited. This is generally done independently, but in accordance with established written standard operating procedures. Work products are reviewed by Director, Assistant Director, or other management staff prior to finalizing. |
Potential errors may result in uncontrolled hazards that could lead to employee injuries or illness, release of harmful agents to the environment, or physical damage to buildings and structures. Noncompliance can also adversely impact ability to attract external research funds; and may result in issuance of orders from regulatory authorities. |

Approximately 60% of the employee's time is spent interacting with others. This includes internal contacts with peers and supervisors. As well as external contacts including the campus community. Purpose of external contact is to provide services, as well as inform individuals in the campus community of regulatory requirements and deviations thereof. |
