Responsibilities and Duties

Provide secretarial and administrative support20X

Provide complex and responsible secretarial and administrative support to the Disability Service for Students Office; maintain and monitor DSS Testing Center and support hard copy office documentation and accommodation management software, order supplies for the DSS office, and report data from the accommodation management software for Annual Performance Review.

Assist with student intake20X

Monitor DSS email account; provide outreach and general DSS information at NSE/Transfer Day events for prospective and new DSS students, assist students with completing DSS paperwork; maintain organized implementation form files, request documentation, answer general questions for students, faculty and staff regarding DSS policies and procedures.

Exam coordination20X

Coordinate the process for administering exams for students registered with DSS. Utilize AIM software to manage the scheduling. Communicate with instructors about the delivery of exams to DSS and back to the instructor upon completion; respond to questions from students and instructors; and maintain integrity of exams and confidential information. Supervise proctors as needed. Instruct on students how to utilize AIM software to request accommodations and schedule exams.

DSS marketing and promotion20X

Marketing DSS services and activities through social media, assisting with planning and promoting DSS, Loper Success Hub, and DREAM events and activities, assist with creating and sharing educational materials for DSS students, assist with assessment of DSS services and activities, promote Universal Design in Learning. Co-Advise the DREAM (Disability, Rights, Education, Activism, and Mentoring) Student Organization.

Manages transcription services15X

Assists transcription services (ADA mandated) primary contact for remote transcription services; schedule remote services with students and contracting agency, track hours of remote service used; support office documentation (ADA mandated); assist DSS staff and students with obtaining e­-texts (ADA mandated).
