  • Support the advancement of the CTL vision in alignment with institutional priorities, in collaboration with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Engagement and campus stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support CTL operations, including programming, communication, and resource management to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CTL initiatives that promote evidence-based, innovative teaching and learning practices.
  • Support assessment and evaluation efforts related to CTL programming, faculty development, student learning outcomes, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Promote holistic and proactive advising and teaching practices that support faculty, staff, and the evolving needs of learners.
  • Contribute to grant-funded initiatives and projects that support faculty and staff development, academic excellence, and student retention and success.
Advance Strategic Partnerships20X
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with the CTL team, faculty, staff, and campus units to support innovative teaching practices, curriculum design, and assessment efforts.
  • Partner with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Engagement and the CTL team to support the development and implementation of professional development opportunities related to Universal Design for Learning, proactive advising, and other high-impact practices that support student success.
  • Collaborate with Academic Innovation & Technology to support the integration of instructional technologies that enhance advising, teaching, and learning.
  • Represent the CTL on university committees and collaborative initiatives to support alignment with institutional priorities and address emerging faculty, staff, and student needs.
  • Provide input and subject matter support for institutional processes and initiatives related to teaching and advising, including the development and refinement of standards such as the Teaching Effectiveness Standards for Evaluation (TESE).
Workshop and Training Design and Facilitation20X
  • Coordinate and support the design and delivery of workshops, seminars, consultations, and other professional development opportunities related to advising and evidence-based teaching practices across disciplines.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of university-wide events that promote advising, teaching, and learning initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of advising and teaching-related programming within institutional initiatives such as New Faculty Orientation, UDL, and related programs.
  • Contribute to the development and facilitation of faculty and staff learning communities focused on pedagogical innovation, advising practices, and student success.
Continuous Improvement20X
  • Provide leadership and support for the development and ongoing professional learning of faculty and staff in advising and teaching.
  • Foster continuous improvement in advising and pedagogy by promoting current research, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends in higher education.
  • Coordinate and oversee CTL communications and digital resources, including the website, newsletters, and related platforms, to reflect current scholarship and highlight UNK faculty and staff practices.
  • Provide coordination and oversight of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Hub, ensuring content remains current, accessible, and aligned with institutional priorities for student success.

    • Work closely with campus divisions and stakeholders.
    • Assist in providing clear, consistent, and tailored communication to ensure alignment, strengthen decision-making, and build campus trust of CTL.
    • Provide regular updates, seek feedback, and adapt to stakeholder needs to support project success.

    • Identify stakeholders and campus needs and barriers and tailor interventions to improve processes and practices.
    • Engage in ongoing assessment of CTL services and professional development and collaborate with Office for Institutional Engagement in reporting outcomes and improvements. 
    • Maximizes productivity through use of appropriate tools, planned training and performance initiatives.
    • Assist in research and develop resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
    • Assists in preparing progress reports; informing the Office for Institutional Engagement of project status and deviation from goals.
    • Ensure completion, accuracy, and timeliness of all operational functions.
