Work in/on campus buildings, equipment, and systems, with a specialized focus on identifying, and diagnosing leaks of any type throughout campus facilities. 

Performs plumbing-related repairs when feasible, utilizing broad knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and maintenance practices. Coordinates with other trades or external vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.

Performs roofing repairs when feasible, utilizing broad knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and techniques. Coordinates with other trades or external vendors when specialized repairs or replacements are required.

Performs HVAC system repairs when feasible, utilizing broad knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, controls, and maintenance practices. Coordinates with other trades or outside vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.

Uses broad knowledge of building envelope systems to perform feasible repairs and coordinates with other trades or vendors for specialized work.

Work on special/large projects with a variety of trades.

For this position regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

This position is considered essential personnel based on job responsibilities. In the event of a campus incident, this position may be required to report to work even during periods when the campus is closed due to its essential nature. 

Due to business necessity this position may be required to perform tasks outside of typical requirements at the supervisor's discretion. 

Requires the ability to understand, interpret, apply and communicate information within a specialization and the ability to apply limited analysis in the completion of general functional procedures. May possess knowledge of work activities outside functional area. May require the operation of moderately complex equipment/tools.

Decisions/problem resolutions require gathering/reviewing information from several sources. Simple analysis of facts determines course of action to be taken within the limits of standard operating policies and procedures/practices. Tasks are varied and may cross several disciplines.

Actions and decisions in this job have an impact which affects the immediate work group and also extends beyond the immediate functional area. Errors reflect unfavorably on the individual and the functional area.
