The Director provides end-to-end leadership for the Presidential Scholars Program, ensuring excellence and consistency across recruitment, student experience, and outcomes.

  • Leading strategic recruitment efforts in collaboration with enrollment management, academic colleges, and campus partners to attract and enroll top-achieving students.
  • Overseeing holistic program administration, including onboarding, retention, eligibility monitoring, and compliance with scholarship requirements.
  • Implementing high-impact co-curricular programming focused on leadership development, experiential learning, community engagement, and whole-person development.
  • Partnering with academic advisors, faculty, and student success units to support scholars’ academic performance, persistence, and timely degree completion.
  • Integrating career development, internships, research, and experiential learning opportunities into the Presidential Scholars experience.
  • Tracking and analyzing student outcomes (academic performance, retention, post-graduate placement, and leadership impact) and using data to inform continuous improvement.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for Presidential Scholars, families, and key stakeholders, ensuring a high-touch, relationship-centered program culture.
  • Providing direct supervision to Provost’s Office Student Success staff, establishing clear performance expectations, fostering a culture of accountability, and aligning staff priorities with system level goals to advance scholar recruitment, retention, and post-graduate success.

The Director oversees a dedicated team responsible for advancing Career Currency as a scalable, system-wide initiative connecting learning, skills, and workforce needs.

  • Providing day-to-day leadership, supervision, and professional development for staff supporting Career Currency initiatives.
  • Translating institutional strategy into operational plans that expand Career Currency participation among employers and academic programs.
  • Collaborating with employers, workforce partners, and campus leaders to align credentials, competencies, and experiential learning opportunities with labor-market demand.
  • Supporting the development and deployment of Career Currency pathways, credentials, and employer-facing tools.
  • Monitoring performance metrics, adoption rates, and workforce outcomes to assess impact and inform strategic decisions.
  • Representing Career Currency in internal and external meetings, advancing awareness, buy-in, and partnerships.
