Serve as a resource for UNHS teachers, and staff for instructional questions.  This position is required to give advice and direction to UNHS teachers regarding instructional policies, grade appeals, and system usage.

Proactive outreach to provide progress checks on groups of students new to UNHS for the first semester/year. Serve as professional contact for school leaders working with UNHS.

Participate in Professional Development; maintain up-to-date content knowledge; other duties as assigned.

Utilizes professional preparation and experience in completing the required task.  Professional development provided for all teachers upon employment regarding use of the LMS and other software necessary to fulfill job responsibility.  


Problem Solving - Decision Making


Assignment of grade is based on the project rubric and the teacher’s professional preparation and experience. Most decisions are guided by set policies and procedures. Some judgment calls and some decision making skills are necessary to provide adequate student service.


Impact


Teacher feedback is a key component of our accreditation and approval as a school.  Credible grading and feedback to students strongly influences learning outcomes. It is crucial that the work of this position be timely and responsive for UNHS as this has a tremendous impact on generating repeat business for the program.  


Interactions


Interaction is primarily with students and schools via the UNHS systems.  Certain situations will lend themselves to communication with the on-site Teaching Staff or the Principal. May be requested to review content within teaching area for revision or updating.
